RPG/GEN is an extremely easy-to-use CASE tool designed to dramatically speed up the coding portion of any software development cycle. RPG/GEN is so easy to use, it can be utilized as a report generator by your non technical staff. RPG/GEN assists users in software development by generating standard RPG II, OCL, and $SFGR(S &D) specifications based on information supplied by the user.

RPG/GEN is made up of three modules: the Field & File module; the Interactive Program Generator module; and the Report Program Generator module. RPG/GEN's three modules may be used to generate inquiry, maintenance, and report programs.
